Art is art. The artist Daniel Edwards made some bronzes to destroy the perfect model that celebrities sell. The name of this images are Paris Hilton Autopsy, where the famous girl appear with a diamond crown and legs open in a imperfect body.
The exposition, in Capla Kesting galery, New York, shows the consequences of car accident and Paris is there because she was arrested for drive drunk.
Paris mistakes become art
It's disturbing, but an interesting use of America's fixation with celebrity culture. Don't drink and drive, kids.
Its terrible that somebody even done this. I am no fan of hers, but I dont wish death on anyone. I have seen her in person, and she just wants attention. This is her biggest downfall.
Fancy, I don't think the artist is wishing her dead. He's just showing the (very real) possible consequences of drinking and driving. He's using art as a vehicle for that message. It's grotesque and morbid, but I don't think it's been done to represent anything other than a didactic lesson.
The fact that Hilton was arrested for drinking and driving and will most likely only get a slap on the wrist because she is a celebrity is pretty much the driving force behind the work, hence her tiara.
I think perhaps the artist is trying to communicate that even though she won't suffer legal consequences of her actions, there's a chance that one night after a few too many drinks at Tao, she could very well end up like this. And it won't be all that glamorous anymore.
that has got to qualify as animal image abuse!
It looks like
it's made of poo.... so appropriate!
